If you depend solely on the internet for information you
will not be able to innovate, you will only be able to imitate. Broaden your
horizons.

Agree. Read books on things that interest you, and things that don’t. Why? You may GET interested. Be discerning on things that the experts tell you…just because people get paid to lecture or coach for that matter, doesn’t mean they know anything. That’s why I like Vern, he will challenge some of the “pop culture” fitness professionals and the like. I do not train athletes (therapist / Exercise phys) and I am not an expert with that population…however, I attended a S&C seminar at a major football university several years ago where the “expert coaches'” idea of training football players was to push them until they puked,…literally,.. that was a badge of honor for the coaches to make them tough. Even a rookie like me who never trained an athlete before could tell they were way off base. Read, read, think and figure out what you believe and why.

If time is spent on the internet, loking at topics, it should include time in Forums, where you are discussing the merits of your points.
