Was on a nice ride this morning. Stared at around 6:45 AM to
beat the heat. Beautiful dawn โ see picture. Well to make a long story short I
had my ride rudely interrupted by a big black SUV that turned right in front of
me. Fortunately my emphasis on reactive agility training based on years of
programmed agility saved me. Collided and I went down , nothing broken or bleeding.
Straightened the bike out and finished the ride. It all hit me (No pun intended)
when I got home. I was lucky. Taking my bike to the shop now, hope I can get it
all straightened out, would like to get in one more ride tomorrow before I
leave for Trinidad again.

Be careful Vern. I lost a very good friend 2 weeks ago in a bike/car collision. I hardly ride mine anymore. More bang for the buck with a Vern Circuit with out the risk of cars. Besides, I don’t think anyone is ready to replace you at GAIN.

Vern,
Glad to hear that you’re okay and I hope your bike survived without major damage. My wife and I had a run-in with a truck several years ago – of course the truck won but we were none the worse for wear.

Wow, that’s terrible. You got lucky – with no serious damages. Yep, just like in Paper, Stone, Rock, Car will always beat bike.
